US History Backwards is a weekly non-fiction cartoon panel by Mark Zepezauer.
Each panel consists of a drawing and an explanatory paragraph of text. The
series wil explore our history in a reverse chronology, starting with the
Gulf War in 1990, then back through the 80s, the 70s, the 60s and beyond.
Bibligraphical notes follow each panel. This space will be updated weekly.
Don't get me started on this one. See Michael Emery's excellent article in
the 3/5/91 Village Voice, "How the US Avoided Peace." Also note the 10/21/90
London Observer, and, no kidding, Joel Wing's piece in the 1/91 Maximum Rock
'n' Roll. And by all means, consult Ramsey Clark's 1992 book on the Gulf War,
The Fire This Time (Thunder's Mouth Press).
