How to Help

Who We Are and Where We're Going

In 1994, the GIVING TREE OUTREACH PROGRAM began ministering to Tucson’s poor population by providing social services, resources, food, clothing and housing.  We expanded our ministry to provide transportation, a weekly feeding program, activities for homeless children, counseling, case management parenting classes and a mentoring program.  Our “GRACE HOME” offers a loving, safe home for homeless or displaced children.  Our house parents demonstrate the “family role model” to foster relationships, which promote a healthy future for at-risk children.

  • Over 2000 homeless children are on the street in Pima County.

  • Over 5000 children in the state of Arizona are homeless because no foster care programs are available.

  • Every month more than 600 children and adults gather at a supportive housing project in central Tucson for hot meals.

  •  Every month we collect and distribute more than 100 emergency food boxes and toiletry bags.

  •  Every month we distribute more than 500 pounds of clothing to needy families.

  • Every month we provide more than 100 adults and children with case management and referrals to community services.

What do we do?

WHAT IS THE FOCUS?

It is our desire to teach the children about a world created by God within a “family role model” home.  We are committed to helping children grow to their potential in a family-centered environment.

HOW WILL THEY LEARN?

We provide services which incorporate loving care, counseling, tutoring, and training in social skills.  Both sort and long-term goals are established and assistance is provided to help the children reach these goals.

THE NEED IS GREAT!
