TUCSON POST CARD EXCHANGE CLUB

ABOUT THE CLUB

Welcome to the home page of the Tucson Post Card Exchange Club (TPCEC). The TPCEC was organized in 1990 to promote the study and collecting of postcards, also known as deltiology, and to serve postcard collectors in Tucson and other areas of Arizona. We are now the only postcard club in Arizona!

MEETINGS

The Club has monthly meetings from September to June, normally on the first Sunday of the month. The meetings are usually held at the Pima County Medical Society Building, 5199 East Farness Drive, Tucson. The doors open at about 2:15 and the meetings start at about 3:00 and generally consist of a short business discussion followed by the featured speaker talking about some aspect of postcards. Also, there are mini-exhibits -- about 6 to 12 postcards -- prepared by the members. Before and after the meetings there is active exchanging and sales of postcards, discussions about the hobby, and show-and-tell of some of the members' collections. Everyone with an interest in postcards is encouraged to attend. Go to the "What's New page" for the date, program, and location for the next meeting.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

To celebrate "National Postcard Week" in May, the Club publishes its own postcard; a different one every year. See the exhibit of the Club's NPCW postcards.

The Club has taken upon itself the Petley Postcard publisher as its research project, and is preparing a checklist of all known Petley postcards. Some Petley postcards are exhibited on the Petley postcard page.

The Club is in the process of organizing a lending library of books and periodicals about postcards. Donations of books, magazines and journals to the library are eagerly accepted.
